Cotton has been around for a very long time. The versatile natural fiber was cultivated in the Indus Valley some 7,000 years ago. It was also raised in pre-Hispanic Peru, Mexico and Central America. Prized by the Maya, organic cottons were grown in natural shades of green and brown, in addition to ivory. Novica artisans weave it on backstrap looms to create stylish cotton jackets and apparel. Designers decorate the fabric with embroidery, beadwork and block prints for our India cotton jacket collection. Balinese ikat tie-dye and Javanese batik result in a wide array of fashionable womens jacket choices. You'll find one for every spring, summer and fall occasion.
