Known by all his friends as Lalo, José Quispe Tito was born in Bellavista-Callao. His artistic formation arrived through his fiancée, Lourdes del Pilar Jacinto Rimachi, of Carmen de la Legua-Reynoso, where she was studying in the Escuela de Diseño de Modas Geraldine.
"When I first graduated, I went to work in a clothing workshop where my efforts just weren't appreciated," Pilar recalls. "I told Lalo about it. At the time, he was studying business administration and had the idea of setting up his own establishment. With his enthusiasm and mine, his ideas became our ideas and we realized that together we could make this dream come true.
"We thought about it a lot and decided to combine his skills with my art. Today we create garments in raw cotton so that the world can get to know our natural fibers, and their softness. We use ecological cotton in our handmade designs, many featuring crochet.
"We are partners in love and in art. Hand in hand we transform our ideas into reality. Our designs are both classic and modern, all of high quality, and very well finished. Peru's raw cotton fascinates us with its beauty. Our designs bring you our personal best through their colors, accessories, fine cuts, and careful details."
